About Me
Hello, I’m Daniel Benson — a fashion designer based in Pittsburgh (looking to move to either NY or LA) and a 2024 BFA graduate of Kent State University. My experience spans both menswear and womenswear, with a strong foundation in apparel design, technical design, garment construction, and 3D development using CLO3D. Being fluent in digital tools like CLO3D, allows me to bring concepts to life quickly and communicate ideas clearly in a modern workflow.
I’ve had the opportunity to intern with two independent menswear designers—one specializing in tailored formalwear, the other in workwear-inspired casual pieces—which sharpened my understanding of apparel design and designing within a brand. More recently, I’ve worked as a freelance assistant designer with womenswear-focused projects, expanding my versatility across silhouettes, fabrications, and market levels.
Whether I'm designing structured outerwear or soft, experimental knitwear, I’m driven by the balance of function, form, and story in every garment. I’m currently seeking opportunities to contribute to innovative design teams where I can grow, collaborate, and bring value through both hands-on and digital design skills.
